Data Envelopment Analysis of Allocative and Technical Efficiencies of Yam Production in Adamawa State

چکیده

The aim of this research was to analyze the allocative and technical efficiency yam production using data envelopment analysis (DEA). A purposive simple random sampling technique used 100 producers were selected structured questionnaires. non-parametric Data employed both efficiencies investigated examined. result revealed that majority (81% ) farmers are male, (39%) fall within age range 36-40 years (75%) had some form education, 57% (TE) (0.81) above while 43% operate at less than 0.81 level. mean 0.78 0.98. further indicated in study area have achieved absolute use variable inputs. Thus, it could be concluded viable terms efficiency. It is, therefore, recommended Government partnership with private sector should encourage increase their which through improved farmer specific factors, include access credit extension services.
